AKC FIT DOG Star-Spangled Scurry 5K
Walk with us in Surprise or complete your 5K anywhere through August 15.
Public registration is open for the AKC FIT DOG Star-Spangled Scurry 5K.
Join the Legend Acres Active Lifestyle Club in person on July 4 at 8:00 AM. Meet at Asante Library in Surprise, Arizona.
Prefer your own route? Complete your virtual 5K anywhere you and your dog are welcome to walk or run through August 15, 2026. Finish all 3.1 miles at once or divide the distance across multiple walks.
The celebration also includes the free Stars, Stripes & Paws Photo Challenge with four prize categories and a separate raffle for a Patriotic Theme Gift Basket valued at over $150.
Raffle ticket purchases support Legend Acres Charities and our $35,000 fundraising goal.

Admission is free.
Meet registered therapy teams and play games hosted by the teams. Kids play and choose prizes. Adults play and earn raffle tickets.
Everyone needs a free ticket to enter. Reserve one ticket for every person coming with you below.
Planning to eat? Add a Hawaiian lunch during registration.

Join us Saturday, September 26, 2026, for the World’s Largest Pet Walk. Walk with us at our Arizona in-person event or participate virtually from anywhere in the world while supporting Pet Partners and celebrating the human-animal bond.
Choose a 1K Fun Walk, 3K Community Walk, or 5K Challenge Walk. Join our team with a recommended $35 donation per participant and help us reach our $20,000 fundraising goal. Every donation supports Pet Partners and the work of registered therapy animal teams.
Legend, our beloved Golden Retriever, registered Pet Partners therapy dog, and the rainbow dog who became the namesake of Legend Acres, inspired a legacy of compassion, volunteer service, and community outreach.

Founder of Legend Acres Dog & Horse Solutions and Legend Acres Charities, Kristi brings more than 15 years of experience in force-free, fear-free training. A veteran and lifelong animal advocate, Kristi has built Legend Acres into a nationally recognized leader in affordable, accessible training for dogs, horses, service and therapy teams.
Her mission is simple yet powerful: to provide science-based, compassionate training that empowers people and their animals to thrive together.
